The U4Society Social Sciences, Economics and Law (SSEL) Conference on "Social Responsibility in Challenging Times" is organised from 6 to 8 October 2021 in Tartu in the premises of the University of Tartu. The conference aims to bring together researchers and PhD students from the participating U4Society Network universities (Ghent, Göttingen, Groningen, Uppsala and Tartu) and the universities from the ENLIGHT consortium (Basque Country, Bordeaux, Comenius Bratislava, Galway, Ghent, Göttingen, Groningen, Tartu, and Uppsala).
In light of Germany’s Presidency of the Council of Europe, the University of Göttingen together with help from its partner universities, is organising the Conference 'United in Diversity: A Europe of Sustainability – Challenges and Perspectives' from 19 to 20 November 2020. We want to discuss the challenges of our society towards sustainable development and possible contributions of science to this as well as to show examples of the potential that sustainable dialogue and cooperation between different stakeholders can have.
The workshop is organized by the Ghent University Russia Platform and the University of Tartu and addresses the question what kind of power applies to Russia. In doing so, it seeks to offer a platform for interdisciplinary discussions around different conceptualizations of power in the domestic and foreign relations of contemporary Russia.
UPDATE: Due to the ongoing pandemic, the 2nd edition of the IPTL Conference was cancelled. As soon as we have news, we will let you know.
