In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the International Office of the University of Göttingen, festivities will be held on the 8th of November from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Aula at Wilhelmsplatz.
In a public ceremony, which will be held at the University's Assembly Hall, in the Aula am Wilhelmsplatz, guests will be presented with an entertaining programme following a welcoming address from the University's President, the DAAD, the HRK, and the MWK. The programme will span some of the history of Göttingen International, with contributions from former students, international partners, scientists and scholars from the University of Göttingen. In conclusion, a panel discussion will take place on how the challenges of a rapidly growing internationalisation can best be mastered within the university environment.
The event will be accompanied by musical and cultural performances presented by students, including a former Erasmus Choir group, solo violin pieces, and a famous "Saman Dance" from the Indonesian student group.
