The Medical Law network connects researchers from U4 universities and addresses a multitude of topics within medical legal studies. The subjects of discussion range from medical law and human rights to issues of reproductive medicine, ethical problems of biobanks and medical research, different concepts of protection of adults with mental disorders, doctoral confidentiality and supervision of public healthcare.
The project highlights the differences in legal approaches to these subjects in the different national legal systems and therefore encourages an intense exchange of ideas and approaches across national borders. Within the framework of Medical Law, cooperation and exchange between professors, postdocs and doctoral students has been established and workshops are being held.
