14IPT&L or 'International Perspectives in Teaching and Learning' addresses the needs of teaching coordinators and curriculum developers of international programmes, focusing on what it takes to organize a good degree programme from an international point of view.

The IPT&L concept is based on identified needs and focusses on sharing ideas, experiences, and good practice examples of the partner universities.

Between 2012 and 2017 the IPT&L programme has been realised as two-days training programme, which resulted in a strong alumni network with more than 120 academics.

In order to nurture and further extend this network, the IPT&L concept has been transformed into the format of an annual conference. The first edition of the conference cycle took place in Uppala on 16 and 17 May 2019 around the topic: 'From Theory to Practice. From Discussion to Cooperation. Conference on International Perspectives on Teaching and Learning'. For more information about the programme, contributions, and keynote, see www.u4network.eu/index.php/news/2727-conference-international-perspectives-on-teaching-learning-ipt-l-uppsala-15-17-may-2019

Second Edition (Groningen, 14-15 May 2020)

The second conference will focus on the theme 'Student Engagement through Partnership', and will take place at the University of Groningen on 14 and 15 May 2020. All relevant information on the second edition is availabale on: www.u4society.eu/index.php/news/2745-22nd-conference-international-perspectives-on-teaching-learning-groningen-14-15-may-2020

General information - IPT&L scope and focus

IPT&L centers around the following core questions: What makes our English-taught programmes international? How to use diversity as a resource in the international classroom? How to adjust our policies to realize our vision on internationalization? How to implement adequate support for our students and staff?

Further, IPT&L focuses on how culture influences teaching and learning around a specific set of intercultural themes. By bringing together coordinators of Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes we create a forum where relevant topics such as interaction, expectations, assessment, group work etc. are addressed.
